Refund Policy

Ask the Advocate, LLC is committed to delivering high-quality educational advocacy services, resources, and community support. Please read this Refund Policy carefully before making any purchase. By completing a purchase or booking, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to this policy.

1. 30-MINUTE EDUCATION STRATEGY SESSIONS

Paid Sessions

Payment for 30-Minute Education Strategy Sessions is collected through HoneyBook at the time of booking. Sessions are non-refundable once booked.

Cancellations with Adequate Notice

If you cancel a scheduled session at least 24 hours in advance, your payment may be applied as a credit toward a rescheduled session at the sole discretion of Ask the Advocate, LLC. Credits are valid for 60 days from the date of cancellation and are non-transferable.


Late Cancellations and No-Shows

Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled session time, as well as no-shows, will forfeit the session fee without credit or refund. No exceptions will be made except in cases of documented emergency at the discretion of Ask the Advocate, LLC.

2. PLACEMENT CONSULTATION SERVICES

Placement consultation services are governed by a separate written service agreement executed through HoneyBook. Refund terms for placement consulting engagements are as specified in that agreement.

In the absence of a specific refund provision in the service agreement, the following applies: fees paid for placement consultation work already completed, research conducted, or meetings attended are non-refundable. Deposits paid to secure placement consultation services are non-refundable. Any balance remaining for work not yet performed may be refunded at the sole discretion of Ask the Advocate, LLC.

3. ONGOING IEP CONSULTING SERVICES

Ongoing IEP consulting services are governed by a separate written service agreement. Refund terms for ongoing consulting engagements are as specified in that agreement. In the absence of a specific provision in the service agreement, fees paid for work already completed or in progress are non-refundable.

4. SKOOL COMMUNITY MEMBERSHIPS

Free Tier

The Free tier of the Ask the Advocate Community is free, so no refund applies.

Standard ($19/month) and Premium ($97/month) Tiers

Paid membership tiers are billed monthly and are non-refundable. Ask the Advocate, LLC does not issue full or prorated refunds for any paid membership period, whether or not you accessed the community during that period.

Cancellation

You may cancel your paid membership at any time through your Skool account settings. Your access will continue through the end of the current billing period. No refund will be issued for the remaining days in that period.

Removal for Conduct Violations

If your membership is terminated by Ask the Advocate, LLC due to a violation of community standards, no refund will be issued for any unused portion of your current billing period.

5. TEMPLATES AND DIGITAL PRODUCTS

All templates, digital products, and downloadable resources are non-refundable. Because templates and digital products are delivered electronically and are immediately accessible upon purchase, Ask the Advocate, LLC does not offer refunds under any circumstances.

Please review all product descriptions, previews, and included materials carefully before completing your purchase. Purchasing a template does not entitle you to customization, legal review, or consultation services. If you have questions about a product before buying, contact Ask the Advocate, LLC through asktheadvocate.org.

6. SPEAKING ENGAGEMENTS

Fees for speaking engagements are governed by the applicable speaking agreement. Refund and cancellation terms will be outlined in that agreement. In general, deposits paid to secure a speaking date are non-refundable. Full fees paid in advance may be partially refunded in accordance with a schedule defined in the speaking agreement.

7. TECHNICAL ISSUES

If you experience a technical issue that prevents you from accessing a purchased product or service, please contact Ask the Advocate, LLC promptly through asktheadvocate.org. We will make reasonable efforts to resolve access issues within 3 business days. Technical issues with third-party platforms such as Skool or HoneyBook that are beyond Ask the Advocate, LLC's control do not entitle you to a refund, but we will work with you to restore access where possible.

8. CHARGEBACKS

If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or credit card provider without first contacting Ask the Advocate, LLC to attempt resolution, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to all services pending resolution of the dispute. Ask the Advocate, LLC will provide full documentation to the payment processor in response to any chargeback.

9. MASSACHUSETTS CONSUMER PROTECTIONS

Nothing in this Refund Policy limits any rights you may have under Massachusetts consumer protection law, including Chapter 93A of the Massachusetts General Laws. If you believe you have a complaint under Massachusetts consumer protection law, you may contact the Massachusetts Attorney General's Office at mass.gov/ago.

10. HOW TO REQUEST A REFUND OR CREDIT

To request a refund or session credit, if applicable under this policy, please contact Ask the Advocate, LLC in writing via the contact form at asktheadvocate.org. Please include your full name, the date of your purchase or session, and a brief description of your request. We will respond within 3 business days.

11. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

Ask the Advocate, LLC reserves the right to update this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be posted to asktheadvocate.org with a revised effective date. Your continued use of this website or any service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
