Alone, we may make ripples, but together, we create waves. Let us stand as a united front, unwavering in our commitment to prompt change in the lives of students with disabilities and shape a better future for all.

Dear fellow champions of special education,

Now is the time for us to unite, to rally our collective expertise, passion, and dedication towards producing meaningful change in our field. Together, we possess an incredible wealth of knowledge and experience, each of us bringing unique perspectives and insights to the table. I am looking for other professionals in the field to collaborate, refer, advocate and make change.

Let us rise above the challenges and obstacles that we face, recognizing that our shared goal – to empower and uplift students with disabilities – transcends any individual differences or disagreements. It is through collaboration, cooperation, and mutual support that we can truly make a difference in the lives of those we serve.

Let us commit ourselves to open dialogue and communication, sharing best practices, innovative ideas, and lessons learned from our successes and failures alike. Let us advocate tirelessly for the resources, support, and recognition that our students deserve, never wavering in our determination to create inclusive, equitable, and enriching educational environments for all.

Together, we have the power to shape the future of special education, to break down barriers, and to pave the way for a brighter tomorrow for every student, regardless of their abilities or challenges. Let us stand shoulder to shoulder, united in purpose and resolve, as we embark on this journey of transformation and possibility.

The time for change is now, and together, we are unstoppable.

In solidarity and with unwavering determination,
Maureen Brown
